Biography

As a local musician and recording artist, Fred has been playing professionally for more than 40 years. Since his first gig in 1978, Fred has special ties to the Tampa Bay area. As singer and lead guitarist for the band Southern Snow, Fred spent 10 years playing the rock-and-roll circuit up and down the East Coast. From New York to Key West, they opened for acts such as Foghat, Marshall Tucker, Wet Willie, Pat Travers, Night Ranger, 38-Special, and Bad Company. His  most memorable gig was playing Ronnie Vanzant in the Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band. For two years, “Second Helping” toured throughout Canada, Mexico and most of the U.S. commanding high praise along the way.

Since then, Fred has been perfecting his unique guitar sound and lyrical compositions and has released 4 additional  CDs featuring his own special brand of original works (total 10 albums).  Fred lives on the beautiful Weeki Wachee River which often inspires his writing and recording endeavors. He is a committed performer and arranger and enjoys promoting his fellow musicians by providing them a spotlight in his own shows. He has become a local favorite all along the West Coast of Florida.
